Jávea / Xabia

The origin of the name is Xabiga. It comes from Arabic and means well or cistern. Once upon a time, there was plenty of water and streams around here. And that wasn't so long ago...

Strolling through these streets, which still retain their distinctive medieval layout, feels like a journey back in time. Narrow streets dotted with white facades with arched doorways and wrought iron grilles protecting Gothic windows.

When you get here, you realize that you're going to need several days to see everything.
